HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

*sigh* So I've been so busy with college applications, I've had no time what so ever to blog...buttt last night I submitted my UC applications (UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD) whoot whoot. Now I have to do all of my privates and out of states.

Well what else is new??...

I cut my hair again in September...a lot shorter this time but I like it =)

Well I really just wanted to blog SOMETHING but at the moment, I'm kind of at a loss for what to blog about. But now that the look and name of my blog have been updated I will be sure to post more often.

Best I Ever Had...

There has been so much controversy facing the "Best I Ever Had" music video, and I finally got a chance to see it for myself. The concept of the video is that Drake is a woman's basketball coach...his team is at the championship game...and they lose =/. BUT to Drake his team is still "the best he ever had". I don't see what is so difficult about understanding that....but apparently a lot of people don't get it. Then a lot of people are offended by the video....now I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit shocked and slightly uncomfortable myself, when I saw the video. The girls on Drake's "basketball" team, are all braless, and their titties are bouncing all over the screen. Now i wasn't offended and i'm not gonna get all feminist because people have to realize that these women are grown they are getting paid and they obviously enjoy what they are doing. so if they aren't "offended" there is no reason for anyone else to be. Drake is a new artist and this is his first official video, so people need to get off his back. If anyone else had a video like that there would be NO problem. Plenty have people have had videos with stripper poles, and ppl wearing thongs....because Drake is a new artist people just have to find something to critique. Then there are the people who don't understand the video and are getting mad about that. open up your minds for a second the concept really isn't difficult to understand. They are the artisit and as such we need to just sit back and let them release their creativity, stop having bitch fits simply because their message goes over your head.

My report card came today. I got in A in everything...but math. I got a B =/. I really worked my ass off to raise that grade to an A, i want to cry right now =/...like seriously. i wanted to end junior year with a straight A report card....but sigh I guess it wasnt meant to be. I'm really upset right now =[

I'm back...it feels good to blog again! Sorry for going m.I.a. But between SATs (which I scored a 1704 on w/o studying), AP testing, state testing, prom AND finals I've been busy. But school is pretty much over (I took my last final of the year today) and summer vacation is in 3 dayssssss! Junior year has been THE hardest year by far!
Anyway enough about school...

soooo my spring break started out nicely!...Friday I found out that I won VICE-PRESIDENT of ASB...(the whole school) =]

then Saturday, Jane, my mom, and my two baby siblings all came to Louisiana to visit my gma.

she took us to the piggly wiggly lmaooo...its a store. and we went thru the "drive through bootleg" market lmaoo...you pull up. roll down your window...they come up to your car and tell you what movies they have. smdh. the sad part is that a lot of the new movies they named my gma was like "i already have it" lmao

so we went home had some red beans and rice and jumbalaya nad then u watched boot leg movies and went to sleep.

today we are supposed to be going to New Orleans...we shall see how that goes. =]

ah! sooo when I entered 9th grade, I developed a nice little following of the opposite sex...then 10th grade came around and my following grew...now in 11th grade my following is RIDICULOUS!. not being cocky. conceited...none of that. simply stating the facts! But if you know me, you know that I don't fall into the traps of "relationships". too much drama, too much pain...sure you can get happiness. but shoot I make myself happy. boys only seem to add distractions. Its crazy because when I was a little girl I would look at tv and see the whole "boy crazy" talks that older girls used to have...sure I had crushes...but at the time I was thinking "that won't be me.." yet here I am. Although I only "talk" to boys, even that is a major distraction...instead of doing hw I find myself texting the latest guy I'm talking to...or up on the phone with one when I know that I'm tired and I know that its going to be hell trynna wake up the following day. I'll be in class, talking to Montie about the latest boys in our lives...the drama they cause...how much we like this person...how much we don't like this person...how cute such and such is...how ugly such and such is...how much we have changed from when we were little girls...everything under the sun THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT OUR TEACHER IS TALKING ABOUT!

I mean I'm cool, my grades haven't slipped Thank God! but I can see that if I continue they will...and I refuse to let that happen!

I don't want a boyfriend...I really don't. I don't want a friend with benefits either...just someone cool, I can kick it with talk on the phone with that type of stuff...unfortunately I'm a bit shallow and it seems like the guys I find myself attracted to are the douche bags of the world. smh. "nice guys finish last".

Any of my girls know that "i like the chase" i would much rather talk to a guy, who i can tell is into me but i can tell i'm not the only person in his life...not in a swinger type way though. while i'm talking to that guy there is always some really nice guy who genuinely likes ME and i am the only girl they are talking to...and i don't like that...i call them "simps"...they fall too easily...they want to commit...stuff that I don't feel like going through...i'm 16 i want to have fun! chill. hang out...not be worried about how much someone likes me and wants to be with me..,thats what marriage is for....you only live once and i'm going to make sure i have as much fun as i can before i settle down...

*sigh* thats when the problem comes in...all the good guys seem to want to settle down...they don't just want to kick it like i want to. so i get stuck talking to the guys who want to talk about nothing but sex...pictures...or the a-holes who feel themselves WAYYYYYYY too much. yea i'm pretty and i'm sure that if you saw me at a party or something you would probably think "ok shes cute. i can get that." not that i display myself liek a whore when i go out but i probably don't act as lady like as i should. but DON'T EVER get it twisted...i'm a smart girl with a good head on her shoulders...and LOTS OF SELF-RESPECT! a word of advice..."don't ever try to play me"...it won't happen....boys these days need to keep their hormones in check and try to get to know ppl better before they try to get in somebodies pants or see whats under someone's shirt...

yes sometimes us females bring it upon ourselves a lot of times we don't carry ourselves in the respectful manner in which we would like to be treated. true. but maybe guys should tell girls that instead of telling girls to send them pics...or let them hit...or whatever else...OR their gonna get mad if you don't...i don't speak for the rest of the girls in the world...but i speak for myself when i say IDGAF! -ok so my Granny returned from her 3 week trip to Trinidad, on Thursday! can't say I wasn't THRILLED to see her. boy was I! my dad who started off to a suprisingly GREAT started...fell off. he cooked 4 times out of the 3 weeks he was wathcing us smh.

-I have been getting tons of emails and letters about colleges I have NEVER heard of. speaking of which i need to sign back up on college board

-I am going to Lousiana next month con mi madre and hermanitas! to see my grandma! =]. I REFUSE to eat crawfish...alligator...frog...or any other odd cajun food...

-i recently discovered kid cuddi's blog....AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT! that dude is funnyyyyyyyy! "doesn't he write like a doo doo?"-Domo.. its true tho.

-Biology on Saturdays! biggest snore fest ever. i promise you the phras "bored me to tears" has never been more true. smh.

-I'M GOING TO TOBAGO FOR THE FULL MONTH OF AUGUST!!!!!
kinda bummed I won't be in cali because I had such a great time last summer...but on the other hand I'm going to be in a tropical paradise!...literally. can't beat that.

the coldest winter ever

so last night I finished reading "the coldest winter ever" took me 2 days. There was so much hype surrounding that book that honestly it didnt meet my expectations. I thought the book was crazy and I even cried a little bit at some parts...I love when books are powerful enough to make me cry. I guess the book was a "realistic" view of life in "the hood" idk. The story line was cool of reminded me alot of a zane book and zane and her story lines really annoy me with how repetitive they all are. Anyway the main thing I had a problem with when it came to sister soulja's book was that her editors did not do their job. There is no reason that a book printed over 1 million times should have some sentences written in the present tense an Then the next one written in the past tense form smh. Over all i dnt highly reccomemd the book but If u like books like "g spot" and ish I'm pretty sure you will like this. Take that as you will.

DAY 1

soooo yesterday my granny left for Trinidad. for her 65th birthday which is today! =]] *HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY ILY* and for carnival...its a west indian thing. anywho. she is gonna be gone for 3 weeks. leaving good ol' cary earle to watch me and jane PAHAHAHAHAHA! cary earle is my dad btw. and the prospect of him wathcing us for 3 wks is FUNNY AF! simply because he is at work 24/7 and he has never had to take care of 2 little girls...well 1 little girl and 1 teenage girl for this length of a time...honestly for like not longer than a night or something. anyway. i will def. keep you posted on how this all turns out.

So i found out some news earlier this week I just haven't had time to get on here and write about it. Anyway Tuesday night Diron Rivers died. i met Diron when i was like 12 years old at westchester summer camp. i remember jessica had a crush on him...and i had one on his cousin...and diron would ALWAYS tease me about liking his cousin smh. those were good times. its sad how short life can be for people. and although me and diron weren't the closest (i only saw him during the summer when i would work with him at the park) but its sad when good, young people die. i mean i know that we all have to die at some point, thats the only thing certain in life. but its sad when its people who are actually about something and are actually trynna do stuff with their life who end up being the ones without the opprotunity to live a full life. people are so ignorant these days and are just satisfied knowing that all their life may ever amount to is gang bangin or never leaving the block they grew up on. so many people TALK about what they wanna do with their lifes but don't have the ambition to actually do the stuff. TALK IS CHEAP. period. if you want something in life its up to YOU to be the one to go after it. no one else. come on i'm 16 and i already know this. wth is going on in the world that people older than me and other people my age still haven't realized this. its such a cliche "live each day like its your last" but its SO TRUE. you have to. like i said the only thing certain in life is death. but sheesh people atlest make sure that when you die that you leave a legacy, something people can be inspired from. and if you haven't gotten there yet atleast make sure that before you die you are on your way to accomplishing all your goals.

100th POST!!...gardena vs. king drew...DOO DOO!

ah! so I am finally at my 100th post. I've been logged into my blog the past couple of days so that I could post something but I couldn't think of anything I wanted to post on this special number.

TONIGHT I witnessed something worth the 100th post position.

so today my school (king drew) played against (gardena)..it was a basketball game. O-M-G! can we say DOO DOO! like seriously. looking at gardena cheerleaders...smh...it was just sad...and nasty...
now i go to king drew...the supposed school of the "doo doos and the hoes". but man after tonight i appreciate our doo doos lol...they may be doo doos but they had a bit more class than the gardena cheerleaders. i may be putting too much on it but like seriously THEY WERE SOOOOOO DOO DOO!

i keep saying that because that was all i could say during the game. it was...smh...man i can't even think of good enough words to describe it.

anyway, i want to give my intellectual view on doo doos (montie and chris always tease me about the way i speak...so i am going to make sure that the rest of this post is written using proper, English. *spelling and capitalizations and ish do not count*)

but, back to what I was saying. What is a "doo doo"?, you may be asking your self. well as defined by urbandictionay.com

Calling someone a "doo doo" is very common these days. the term is thrown around 24/7, personally, i may use the term atleast once a day. it is not my fault. blame the "doo doos". they are everywhere...taking over our schools...parties...sense of style...kick it spots...smh. there is no way to escape them.

*NOTE* THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING "GHETTO" AND BEING A "DOO DOO"!!!!! I personally think people need to learn how to tell the difference between the two.

omg. so the day I took the psat's i posted a blog about how hard they were and how i felt they didn't give enough time to take it. (u can check my older posts) anyway. i got my results back last week...anddddddd
I DID REALLY GOOD =]]

i scored a 173 which is the equilivalent to scoring a 1730 on the SAT. I mean its not the best. but it is good.

i qualify for the national merit scholarship...we'll see in september if i get it.

so i get bored...take out my camera...and take pictures of myself...sue me!

DOO DOO DAYS...

ok so i tend to remenice a lot (my spelling sucks btw) but um yea I've shared some great memories with people and I have a habit of reliving those memories in my mind. So anywhooo. I remembered this "clique" I was in at westchester summer camp. it was a "clique" w/ like 5 people lmao. anyway it was "THE GHETTO CLIQUE" ah! smh. lmaoooo. there was:

-Boughetto (Elysse)
-Not Ghetto (who else...ME! aha)
-Baby Ghetto (Jessica)
i forgot Kione and Nia's names...

but omg we had like made a song...and we made a myspace for it ah! how doo doo was that!

but the crazy thing is...at the time it wasn't considered doo doo...like at all...there was even some girl who like got mad at elysse over myspace because she was from some clique ahd her name was "boughetto" like whoa wtf?!

so I was talking to Jessica and Elysse and it made me realize how like the people we consider to be doo doo now are like pretty much doing now what we were doing a few years ago...sheesh does that mean we were doo doo?....or are they doo doo for like not keeping up with the changing times and trends.

i mean their actions add to their doo -doo-ness aha! (my actions never have/never will be doo doo ish...my name was "not ghetto" in the clique for a reason lol)
but i mean think about it...

(these are all my assumptions...but i'm guessing they're pretty accurate)

DOO DOOS:
-have chirps!...im assuming...or like pre paid phones...soooo my first real cell phone was pre paid 5th grade! but then my first phone with a bill was nextel and it was a chirp! it was a i710?
-wear scrunchie socks and white tees...ok so as I was telling Jessica I had soe pink and white scrunchie socks and I would wear them with my pink and white airforces!. I would wear a pink one on top and a white one on bottom on one foot and switch it on my other foot!
-us3 l3tt3r$ and $h!t t0 typ3......yea i kinda had a bad habit of that =/
-OMGOSH DOO DOO MYSPACE POSES!!...lips stuck out...index finger pointing at the chin!...girls you know you all had a pic like that thinking you were the shit!...i know i did but I claim mines lol.
-OMGGGG sock buns!!!...putting them in your hair to make your buns bigger!
-light up pacifiers!!! ah! wth...grown ass 12 yrs old.. why smh.
-Baby Phat...South Pole...Roca Wear...Ecko Red...enough said
-idk what else...but those are just some of things I personally will admit to doing (I was in like jr high when I did it so I should be excused) but its like sheesh who knew that years later I would be calling the people who do that now doo doos. I probably wouldn't have done it back then myself.


(now some of you may be thinking like omg shes just talking bout stuff from middle school...but unfortunately I've seen girls our age still doing stuff like this presently =0)

sheesh times change...doo doos need to get it together...it was cute and acceptable in middle school...but we aren't there anymore boo!
